Pakistan’s Meteorological Department has issued a forecast predicting extensive monsoon rains across the country from July 8 to July 15. The weather system is expected to affect Sindh, Balochistan, and upper and central regions of Pakistan.

Sindh and Balochistan (July 8-9):
- Hot and humid conditions expected
- Rain, wind, and thundershowers likely in several districts including Jacobabad, Sukkur, Karachi, and parts of eastern Balochistan
Nationwide Rain (July 10-15):
- A weather system to bring general rain across upper and central Pakistan
- Affected areas include Kashmir, Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan
Regional Breakdown:
Kashmir:
- Rain, wind, and thundershowers forecast from July 10 to 16
- Heavy rainfall possible in various regions including Neelum Valley and Muzaffarabad
Punjab and Islamabad:
- Wet weather expected from July 10 evening/night to July 15
- Heavy rain possible in numerous cities including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Lahore
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa:
- Rainy conditions predicted from July 11 to 15
- Affected areas include Dir, Chitral, Swat, and Peshawar
Balochistan:
- Additional rainfall expected from July 12 to 14 in select districts
Gilgit-Baltistan:
- Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions from July 11 to 15
- Rain possible in areas such as Diamir, Astore, and Skardu
The Met Office has urged residents in the affected areas to remain vigilant due to potential flooding and disruptions caused by heavy rainfall. Local authorities have been advised to implement necessary precautions to manage the impact of the monsoon season.
